19 June 2009

The Socialist International condemns in the strongest terms the bomb attack carried out today in the City of Bilbao which took the life of police officer Eduardo Puelles.

The International stands by the side of the entire Spanish people in full solidarity and extends its unwavering support to Spanish Prime Minister and PSOE leader José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and Basque President Patxi Lopez as they work to bring to justice the perpetrators of this barbarous act.
