Declaration for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

On this international day, we wish to highlight the courageous struggles of women who are fighting for their rights and freedom. Their bravery and resilience in the face of oppression are an inspiration to us all. But we cannot leave them alone; they need the support of the entire society because ending this violence concerns us all. They have the socialist commitment.

We, members of the Socialist International, affirm our solidarity with these women and all those around the world who are fighting against violence and discrimination. Their struggle for equal rights is a global issue that requires the commitment of each and every one of us.

We call for international mobilization to support these struggles and to put an end to all forms of violence against women. Together, we can build a future where every woman can live freely and safely, without fear of violence or oppression.

Together, let us raise our voices and take action for a more just and equal world.
