Socialist International condemns acts of terror in Norway

22 July 2011

The Socialist International utterly condemns the cowardly and despicable acts of terror seen today in Norway, where an explosion in the city centre of Oslo hitting government and other buildings along with shootings on the island of Utøya have claimed the lives of so many innocent people and left scores injured. The International expresses its deepest sympathies and condolences to all those affected and utmost solidarity with the Norwegian Labour Party (DNA), an SI member, which heads the government in that country, and with the Labour Youth (AUF),  whose summer camp on Utøya was targeted in this attack.
