Socialist International shocked and dismayed by attack on Anna Lindh

The Socialist International expresses its shock and dismay at the atrocious attack today in Stockholm on Anna Lindh, Foreign Minister of Sweden, a leading member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party and member of the Socialist International family. Stabbed by an as yet unknown assailant, her condition is described as serious. The International conveys its deepest sympathies to her, her family, the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the people of Sweden, as well as its heartfelt hope for a quick and full recovery.
