Statement on Gaza

The Socialist International strongly condemns any proposals aiming to displace Palestinians from Gaza. Those ideas go against international law and can create division, hatred, and bloodshed in our societies.
Gaza is the land of the Palestinian people. The Palestinian people must remain in Gaza.
Gaza is and will remain an essential part of the future Palestinian state, a state that must coexist alongside Israel in peace, security, and mutual recognition. The Socialist International reaffirms its unwavering support for a two-state solution, as endorsed by nearly 150 countries at the United Nations. This is the only viable path to a just and lasting peace.
The Socialist International stands in full solidarity with the Palestinian people, including those in Gaza, and will continue to advocate for their rights. Humanitarian assistance must reach those in need, and the international community has a duty to uphold the principles of international law and human dignity.
We will remain at the forefront of the defense of international law, existing treaties, and fundamental human rights.
