Statement on the Hungarian Elections

The defeat of Viktor Orbán in today’s presidential elections opens a new historical chapter for Hungary. This outcome is the result of long struggles by democratic forces, including the SI member party. We stand with all Hungarians who will now work to reestablish the rule of law, freedom of expression, and an independent justice system.
