Statement on the Legislative Elections in Israel

Ahead of the legislative elections in Israel on Tuesday 27 October, the Socialist International expresses its full support for our member party, The Democrats, and its leader, Yair Golan.
Voting for The Democrats is crucial to protecting democratic institutions, reducing inequality and working for peace in the region.
In times of polarisation and division, The Democrats are striving for democracy, social equality among citizens of all faiths, gender equality and social justice.
Historically, they represent the peace camp and support the two-state solution. They are the partners we need to secure a hopeful future for the next generations.
