Resolution on the Conflict in Sudan
The armed conflict in Sudan requires urgent and determined mobilisation from the African continent. Its cross-border humanitarian and security repercussions (influx of refugees, summary abuses, intensification of border tensions) highlight the urgency of strengthened cooperation to establish lasting peace and shared stability.
The SI calls on the international community and the African Union to mobilise to put an end to the humanitarian tragedy endured by civilian populations—amounting to ethnic cleansing—to halt foreign interventions, and to work for the restoration of peace in Sudan.
