Resolution on Western Sahara
The Socialist International welcomes the opportunity presented by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 as a basis for an international consensus toward a just and lasting political solution.
· The SI calls on all parties to the conflict to seize this opportunity and engage resolutely in negotiations.
· The SI urges Morocco, the Polisario, Algeria, and Mauritania to make use of this opportunity to resolve the conflict and to relaunch regional integration, an essential factor for the well-being and prosperity of all the peoples of the region and the continent.
