The Africa Committee of the Socialist International meeting in Dar es Salaam on 28 and 29 March 2014, after listening to reports on the commitment to peace and conflict resolution in the region, welcomed the progress achieved in the search for a way out of the multi- dimensional crisis in Mali.
The Committee welcomes the brilliant election of Comrade Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, President of the Republic.
The Committee salutes the indisputable leadership of Ibrahim Boubacar Keita in his efforts to strengthen democracy, the rule of law, peace, security and stability of Mali.
The Committee encourages the President of Mali to continue the search for peace through dialogue and consultation and lends him its unwavering support.
